The picturesque and delightfully quiet township on the banks of the Kaipara has two jetties, one on either side of the river, reaching out for each other. The fishing boats leaned on the low tide sands, and the boat club was a ‘bring your own chair and beer, we'll provide the view’. We had hugs and photos.
