Sitting with a cup of tea, and a suitably softened gingernut biscuit, you gaze to the road that winds north and out to neighbouring properties. Along that ridgeline, it is particularly pretty if you catch the sun setting behind it, stands a Kauri tree… so ancient and powerful it has earned itself a plaque and a boardwalk around it.
